The Ogden Museum of Southern Art presents a runway fashion show featuring Alabama Chanin and designers from New Orleans.
Haute and Handmade: A Showcase of Southern Contemporary Couture, Fri. Dec. 9 from 7-9pm, features local designers whose work combines Southern textile craft with cutting-edge fashion. The designers include: Amanda Deleon, Kerry Fitts, Grayson Gold, Lorna Leedy, Andrea Loest and Rebecca Rebouche.
New Orleans fashionistas, locals and influential young professionals will grace the runway with garments that are hand made, slow processed, and architecturally intriguing, qualities that are present in fashion made locally. The artists’ and designers’ unique interpretations of these concepts will be showcased in special clothing collections created exclusively for this event.
